Can I buy tickets for Christmas or birthday gifts for friends and family?

YES!! What a great gift! On the ENTRY FORM, simply select YES when asked if it is a gift and we will contact you to get the recipient's name and contact information. Be sure that your gift recipient meets the eligibility criteria. RULES

Wow! You're going to make $2 million dollars...that's a lot of money!

A: LOL! That'd be fantastic if we could make that much! You probably already know that we wanted to sell our home and use any proceeds to start The DO! Tank, but since the market is so slow, we weren't able to do that, so we came up with this idea. This process has a lot of moving parts and other similar contests have 6 FULL-TIME people running the contest so, in case you're curious, here's how the numbers play out (this is if the Grand Prize Winner takes the cash). We will collect $1.9 million (19,000 tickets at $100 per ticket) and then we'll pay (or have already paid) $500,000 to the GPW, $290,000 sales/affiliate programs, $250,000 marketing/direct mail, $100,000 to charity, $100,000 PR, $99,500 for Runner Up prizes, $90,000 for Early Bird prizes, $50,000 for merchant/PayPal fees, $50,000 dedicated person to manage entries (receive, file, scan, log, etc.), $40,000 assistant, $35,000 website design and management, $25,000 accounting/bookkeeping and $20,000 for legal fees, which leaves $250,500 which is about the same profit we would have received if we sold our home when the market was still good. Please note that in the numbers above we are not taking any compensation for our time.

Why is your mailing address in Heber City, UT...isn't the house in Park City, UT?

Yes, the house is in Park City, but all of the submissions are sent to our assistant who receives the entry tickets and submissions, logs them, scans them and separates them so we only see the submission with the ticket number on the back. It is another step in maintaining complete integrity in our process.

How do I know this contest is legitimate?

Please read our RULES, you'll see that we've invested a lot of time and money making sure that everything is legally perfect and we've made ourselves and our process transparent. If we don't follow the rules you will have the law on your side to protect you.

Who picks the winner and how do I know it's not "fixed?"

We have selected a diverse panel of independent judges, see the JUDGING page. 200 Story Home, LLC guarantees that every entry will be reviewed before the top 200 entries are selected. Each submission will have a unique ticket number written on the back, but will NOT have any name anywhere on the submission so it can remain anonymous to all parties involved. The contest is being conducted with integrity every step of the way.

How come we can't know who the judges are?

In an effort to discouraging "influencing" we have chosen not to publish their names, however the biographical information is accurate.

Where do I find the "TICKET NUMBER" I need to write on the back of my art entry/submission?

When we receive your completed ENTER NOW form and payment, we will generate a ticket for you which will include your ticket number plus a place for you to sign. You will need to return this form/ticket with your entry. Remember that only thing you write on your art/submission is the ticket number.

What if my child who is under 18 wants to enter?

Per the RULES the ticket will need to be purchased by an adult and should the art be prizewinning, the adult who purchased the ticket will receive the prize and be responsible for all requirements per the RULES.

Can I submit art that doesn't pertain to the theme "home?"

Sorry, to be considered in this contest, the submission must pertain to the theme "home."

What if I want to submit a sculpture, a cake, a quilt or something else three dimensional.

That is great and we applaud your creativity, however we will only be able to accept a photo of your art. And remember the photo has to be 8 1/2" x 11" or less in size.

Can I make my submission electronically?

Sorry, we cannot accept submissions/entries/art electronically. Please see the RULES and mail to the address shown there.

Can I buy more than one ticket?

Absolutely! Remember that each ticket entitles the ticket holder to one submission.
